A tipster just notified us that Hallmark store employees have been told not to process debit cards until further notice because the company’s payment processor is charging people twice! Here’s a picture taken from one of the stores:

Update from tipster: “[The problem is apparently with] the computers in the stores. It’s the CARD companies that are charging double. Hallmark is NOT giving refunds…you have to call and complain to your card holder… that’s all I know.”

Soulless greeting-card company Hallmark celebrates its record $4.4 billion in worldwide revenue, and “double-digit” growth in profitability by firing 355 employees across the U.S. and Canada.
