Hallmark’s nationwide debit card fiasco

A tipster just notified us that Hallmark store employees have been told not to process debit cards until further notice because the company’s payment processor is charging people twice! Here’s a picture taken from one of the stores:

Update from tipster: “[The problem is apparently with] the computers in the stores. It’s the CARD companies that are charging double. Hallmark is NOT giving refunds…you have to call and complain to your card holder… that’s all I know.”
