Vote of confidence: VMWare loses $5 billion in market cap on CEO switch

Shares of software maker VMWare fell 25% today on news that its CEO/founder would be leaving. The new CEO, Paul Maritz, gets the resounding vote of confidence of having lost $5 billion in company value before he’s even taken office.
