Western Union cuts 3.3% of workforce
The money transfer service of choice by Nigerian “419″ scammers, Western Union, has announced that it will be axing 200 employees because of the “challenging economic environment.” The layoffs will involve managers as well as employees. A company mouthpiece said that they “evaluated all relevant scenarios” before deciding on layoffs. Too bad the first to go weren’t PR flacks.
