Layoffs

Layoffs could be in the cards for struggling eBay

September 15, 2008

A Barron’s article is circulating the rumor that online auction house eBay is preparing a large round of layoffs that could slice 10% of the company’s 15,000 employees. The original source of the rumors seems to be Wall Street research firm Wedge Partners who writes that eBay’s business is “deteriorating” due to seller discontent.
