A tipster writes in to tell us about layoffs this morning at stoner-named Jazz Pharmaceuticals. Our source informs us that 1/2 of the sales force was let go without notice or promise of severance. No word of this has broken in the press, but we’re guessing that the company will announce the cuts during the 3rd quarter conference call tomorrow.

Wall Street clearly doesn’t have much faith in tomorrow’s earnings — Jazz’s stock plummeted 40% to its all-time low. Take a look at the grim slide:
