Layoffs at fatty-food empire Yum Brands
The owner of fast food chains KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut — Yum Brands — will be laying off employees at offices in Louisville, KY and Irvine, CA. A company blowhard was cagey about the exact numbers, saying only that “several hundred” jobs would be eliminated. These layoffs will be the first time Yum Brands has ever cut any fat from anything…

It’s hard to imagine the brilliant people behind Long John Silver’s going through tough times.
I happen to work for YUM Brands, as an employee of Pizza Hut. These layoffs are short of being a surprise. Our business has dropped significantly in the past year, but I see our ruthless leader and CEO has been raking in the “dough”. $55 million for making idiotic decisions and raping the employees pockets? No wonder we are failing! That $2.50 delivery charge you see every time you get a pizza delivered to your door, where do you think it goes? We, as drivers, get pennies on the dollar out of it while Big Man and his no brain co-horts use that as their bonus. Not only that, they raise the prices of the pizzas for no reason when the quantity sure hasn’t changed. Yeah, I’m a little perturbed at how we have been treated! We lost an area coach who had been with the company for 31 years, and I will tell all of you she was a darn fine woman to work under. Of course she was replaced with someone without experience at a cheaper price, so as far as I can tell we are going nowhere. Things that make you say hmmmmm. Sad thing is, the job market is in the toilet so I’m stuck for now. Already lost one job this year due to downsizing. Is this one next? Another hmmmmm.
