Buyouts and layoffs in the cards for slot machine company IGT
International Game Technology, the world’s largest maker of rigged gambling games, has just informed employees via e-mail that around 500 workers have been approached for contract buyouts. Depending on how the buyouts go, management will make a decision on layoffs in November. Expect total cuts to be close to 10% of the company’s 5,400.
